Our Philosophy

We believe that the first few years of a child’s development are where confidence and self-esteem have a great impact on their life in the future, and therefore the most important. Our philosophy revolves around play-based learning. We strive to create a warm, open, and home-like feel for your child in an environment that is secure, caring, loving and nurturing. Children of all ages and stages will be challenged daily with developmentally appropriate activities, based on their current skill level. Children are introduced to activities and experiences that support their emotional, social, creative, cognitive, and physical growth. We know that families are the most important thing in a child’s life, therefore they also play a very important and vital role in our program. We want, and will continually support them to be involved in a meaningful way in their children’s experience here at Little Town Family Daycare.

“Studies have shown that children who attend high-quality daycare learn social skills through constant interaction with other children all day. They develop problem-solving skills and experience fewer peer-related difficulties. This doesn’t just stop at daycare. The social skills they learn in daycare improve children’s emotional and cognitive development, prevent later emotional difficulties and promote prosocial behaviors.”
